"You know how to be a lady, yeah you’re still your daddy’s baby. You drive the band and the boys and the bartenders crazy."

A backpacker’s life

Well, after my month of backpacking across europe, it is safe to say I have seen a lot, eaten a lot, and learned a lot. No matter if I was hiking the Swiss Alps, eating pretzel and schnitzel in Bavaria, singing the Sound of Music in Austria, praying in front of St. Peter’s tomb at the Vatican, or so many other memories, I will never forget the experiences I have had over the last month. But most importantly, I found my self in my month abroad (from being abroad). I learned that although I can be by myself and be extremely content, at the same time I don’t want to be by myself. I look forward to re-exploring europe some day with someone special, and discovering new adventures and new cities. I feel truly blessed that I was able to see all that I did, and if I was to die tomorrow, I can honestly say I would die happy. I am happily settled back into life in Ireland, but cannot wait for my final trip to Paris in 2 weeks and my journey home to the states. Look out America! I’m comin for ya!

"We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me, love like that has only happened once, and that’s why every minute we spent together has been seared in my memory. I’ll never forget a single moment of it."
